Utah Trip: 2006
Photos from the first day of my Utah skiing experience.
A handful of images from Thursday at Snowbird
I wanted to get some Utah landscape shots, so I took the advice of my gracious hosts and headed over to the Mt. Olympus trailhead. Hiking only a few hundred meters up the trail allowed me to get an excellent view of the smog over Salt Lake.
Alta was closed for the snowstorm earlier in the week, so it seemed an obvious destination on Friday.
Having checked out AltaBird, I decided that it was worth a trip out to Snowbasin.
After four and a half days of bluebird skiing (and one half day of decent weather and good snow), my string of luck came to an end.
By a combination of knowing the right people, luck, and a sufficient American Express credit limit, I managed to get myself out to Utah for six days of late-April skiing.
